Keep Calm and Canvas Like a ChampDescription: From beginner basics to advanced techniques, Keep Calm and Canvas Like a Champ has something to offer all teachers and instructional staff. Learn how to use the LMS to simplify teaching and elevate learning. If you've been using Canvas for a while, learn about the new features Canvas has to offer seasoned veterans. This split level session will give all ability levels the confidence to Canvas like a Champ in the upcoming school year.
Target Audience: PK-12th teachers Credit Allocation: 9 CPE credits Course Manager(s): Brent Mischnick Math Formative Assessment with FeedbackDescription: Teachers will have the opportunity to further explore formative assessment in My Open Math and Canvas Quizzes. The goal will be how these assessments can be used to provide students immediate feedback and provide opportunities to master topics.

Seesaw - The Basics and BeyondDescription: From getting started with Seesaw to exploring beyond the basics, this course offers something for all PK-2nd grade teachers and instructional staff. Learn how to utilize Seesaw’s multimodal tools to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all your students. If you have never used Seesaw before, this is your chance to get familiar with the basics of creating your first activity and connecting with your parents. Using Seesaw for a while? Learn how to take advantage of its many features to transform your student collaboration and classroom activities.

What behaviors could be gifted indicators in different cultural groups? Participants will investigate ways to not only identify neurodiverse students, but to also meet their academic and social/emotional learning needs.

Participants will look at different strategies to prevent underachievement and “stagnant” learning, while helping above-level learners strengthen their academics, develop a growth mindset, and foster independence through pursuit of their interests.

Does Your Classroom Have CFF?Description: This online professional learning course will provide teachers with a better understanding of how to effectively use collaboration, feedback, and formative assessment in the learning environment to enhance student mastery of concepts. Teachers will research strategies and tips and investigate online tools that can be used in a face-to-face setting, blended learning environment, or a 100% remote learning setting. In order to complete the course, participants must complete all modules within the specified time.
Target Audience: PK-12th teachers Credit Allocation: 6 CPE credits Course Manager(s): Kelli Kelsoe PBL Tools 2.0Description: Project-based learning (PBL) is all about learning by doing, and that is exactly what you will experience in the PBL Tools 2.0. During this session, you will explore online tools that will help you grow as a remote educator while you design a new PBL unit for your students. An online community in Canvas and a one-on-one coaching session will be offered to provide the support you need to implement your plan.
Participants in the Project-Based Learning Tools should be confident in building a student-driven classroom culture while utilizing online tools. Course Syllabus: Click here Target Audience: 6th-12th Science teachers Credit Allocation: 6 CPE Course Manager(s): Denise Fisher Personalized LearningDescription: The process of transforming learning in our schools from an industrial, assembly line model to a modern, learner-centered and learning focused approach involves much more than adopting an expanded set of instructional skills and strategies. It is not just one more thing that educators are asked to do. In reality, this transformation is about approaching the work of learning and teaching differently and implies some fundamental changes in the roles learners and educators play in the educational process.
Course Syllabus: Click here Target Audience: Administrative Leadership Team Credit Allocation: 12 credits - 2 Days Course Manager(s): Renee Smith-Faulkner Ken Casarez Kelli Kelsoe Differentiating Instruction with CanvasDescription: Learners will explore definitions and examples of differentiation within the classroom. Opportunities for collabration and reflection will be used to facilitate discussion amongst your peers. Canvas quizzes assignments, discussions, modules, groups and other tools will be investigated. To complete the course, the participants must complete the online modules within the 3-day window. Additionally, participants will implement the transformative lesson developed in this course during the first six weeks of school. Upon implementation with students, teachers will reflect on the lesson through a course discussion. Nine hours of credit along with a competency-based badge will be awarded once the teacher reflection is submitted by the assigned date.
