Enrollment for sessions will open on Friday, December 9th at 8:00 A.M. and close at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, December 11th. Seating is limited to 22 participants per session.

- Performance Objective 16: Professional learning opportunities will be offered during professional learning calendar days at the district and campus levels and personalized based on individual choice or area of growth.
Half Day Session 8:00-11:30: Case Management
Room: IMMS Room 215 High Yield Strategy: Differentiation Presenters: Lynn Jameson and Christi Patton Description: A special education case manager is a special education teacher with the responsibility of arranging any necessary services for a child with special needs. The case manager is the main point of contact between parents, specialists, and teachers (general and special educators) who work with a student with an IEP. Their responsibilities include maintaining records, updating and monitoring progress towards IEP goals, coordinating IEP paperwork, and presenting information at meetings. This training will explain the roles and responsibilities of a special education manager. DIP 1.17.1: Implement research-based pedagogy to ensure engaging educational opportunities for all students. (feedback, check for understanding, and reflection) T-TESS Planning Dimension 1.2: Formal and informal assessments to monitor progress of all students, shares appropriate diagnostic, formative and summative assessment data with students to engage them in self-assessment, build awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses and track their own progress. |
All Day Session 8:00-4:30: Initial CPI Training at IMMS Cafeteria (Invitation Only - Lynn Jameson will contact all participants prior to training.)
Room: IMMS Library Reference Room High Yield Strategy: Differentiation, Compliance Presenters: Sal Limas and Lori Boucher Description: CPI is a best practice approach and safe behavior management method that focuses on prevention. Through a variety of specialized offerings and innovative resources, CPI educates and empowers professionals to create safe and respectful work environments and enrich the lives of the individuals they serve. Practical skills and strategies to safely manage disruptive or difficult behavior while balancing the responsibilities of care will be reviewed. DIP 1.16.2: Provide flexible professional learning opportunities in the form of EdCamps, Twitter Chats, Professional Learning Communities, Blending Learning courses, online courses, and through reflection activities.
