Have you ever wanted to try out Guided Math in your classroom? Have you tried implementing Guided Math and you were unable to follow through? Join us in a semester long book study utilizing "Guided Math in Action" by Dr. Nicki Newton. We will dive into best practices, implementation, and differentiation on how to reach all your students through a Guided Math model. With a blended learning model through Canvas, Google Meets, and Classroom Competency Based Observations, you will not only learn how to be successful at Guided Math, you will work closely with your peers and the Elementary Math Coordinator in order to reach the needs of all your students at their level of instruction. August-December.

The Special Populations Academy will bring together Bilingual Education, Gifted and Talented, ESL, Special Education, Dyslexia and Technology in the classroom. Get ready to soak in the best teaching and learning strategies for ALL! The Special Populations Academy is scheduled May 27 - June 7. Dr. José Medina and Jacinto Ramos will help us kick off this exciting event! We are providing 40 virtual/live and Virtual Live Online hours of professional learning sessions throughout the day and "Spa" like optional sessions in the afternoon where participants will get mentally and physically pampered. Prizes will be raffled off throughout the week!!! * Credit will be given based on how many sessions you complete. CPE will be given based on number sessions completed and you will receive full CPE Credits. Taking the GT Update portion will only grant 6 GT and 6 CPE. |
